Dental Bonding
Dental bonding restores damage done to a tooth by decay or can close gaps between teeth. With today's advancement we can bond tooth colored composite material to a tooth surface to match perfectly. By shaping and polishing we can restore the tooth's structure back to durability and strength.
Porcelain Crowns
Porcelain crowns are full coverage restoration with realistic aesthetics. They are most common when a tooth is to broken down for a filling, after root canal therapy, or to replace a large filling. Porcelain crowns are placed over the weakened tooth structure to provide strength and protection against any further breakage. Porcelain crowns are lab fabricated too not only be durable but to match your smile.
Porcelain Veneers
Veneers are a covering, made of porcelain, that is placed over the outside of the tooth. They are usually only fabricated for teeth that are visible when smiling or talking. Porcelain veneers are lab fabricated from an impression taken in the dental office. The advantage of lab fabricated porcelain veneers is that less tooth surface is removed for restoration.
Implant Restorations
Once the initial titanium post is placed and healed the final step of your implant restoration is to fabricated a crown to be placed over the post. With today's technology we can design a crown to match the color, shape and size to blend perfectly.
Bridges
Bridges are an option to fill a space where teeth are missing. Bridges are lab fabricated to have the sides of the bridge used for support and missing teeth filled in. They are generally fabricated with porcelain so they are aesthetically pleasing.
Specialty Dentures/Partials
Removable prosthetics (dentures/partials) are available to patients that are fully or partially edentulous (without teeth). They are fabricated to fit comfortably in the mouth and maintain a realistic look.
Inlays/Onlays
Inlays/Onlays are made from porcelain, gold or other composite material and are recommended when direct restoration of the tooth with a dental bond would alter the tooth structure. They are lab fabricated and bonded to remaining tooth structure. Porcelain inlays/onlays include a greater resistance to occlusal or biting forces and proper contouring or optimum gum health. Most importantly porcelain inlays/onlays have greater protection against recurrent decay.
Root Canal Therapy
Root canal therapy is needed when decay (cavity) has been neglected and allowed to reach the pulp of a tooth, trauma or deep restorations. Once the pulp has become infected it may abscess and made unable to heal on its own. Symptoms that indicate that the pulp of a tooth has become infected is sensitivity to hot/cold or sweets, swelling, pain, pain when biting and a bad taste in the mouth. Root canal therapy consists of cleaning out the infected tooth's pulp and thoroughly disinfecting the canals. Once the infection is resolved the canal(s) are filled, to prevent infection.
Extractions
Teeth that are extremely broken down or decayed, that can not be restored, may need to be extracted. We make the extraction process relaxed and comfortable. After the completion of the extraction we will send you home with simple rules and recommendations to help the healing process.
Night Guards
Custom night guards are recommended for patients with bruxism (involuntary grinding and clenching of teeth while sleeping). They are made custom for your teeth and will fit like a glove. They will help prevent the abnormal wear of the teeth help prevent damage of the periodontal ligament.
Sports Guards
Sport Guards should be worn by both children and adults when participating in full contact sports. Custom sports guards are fabricated to be a custom fit to give optimal protection. They can also be made in any color to match your school or jersey colors.
Sleep Apnea Devices
Sleep apnea devices, often referred to as snore guards, are devices that provide stability to the jaw to prevent the jaw from dropping back into the throat and inhabiting the air passage and leading to loud noises. A sleep apnea device is lab fabricated to fit snugly over the top row of teeth to align the lower jaw slightly forward and encouraging proper breathing.
